Pod filters and cold air intakes. What filter?
First of, I have no idea if I'm posting this in the right section, if I'm wrong just yell at me.
Anyways. I have a 968, and from what I can understand, the air filter box produces a lot of drag in the intake. There's several ways of fixing this, but I'm focusing on making a pod filter setup with some sort of heat shield and ducts/snorkels.
Now there's a few reasons to why I'm doing this. Mostly the sound a pod filter makes.(I have already done a test drive with a K&N filter attached directly to my MAF) And from what I read several places it should give me a little better performance out of my engine. But mostly I'm doing this for the sound.
Here's my question: What pod filter is recommend for daily use?
Oiled filters like K&N will ruin my MAF in the long run and they don't really filter as good as a paper one does. But can you even get quality pod filters that will clean the air as good as the stock filter?
TL;DR:
I need a pod filter that will filter as good as the stock one. And not ruin my MAF sensor.
