Default Momo steering wheel: what's the advantage?

I'm guessing it's not weight (how much can a steering wheel weigh), is the grip that much better to make a noticeable difference, what am I missing?

most I've seen had excellent leather grip texture
may be slightly smaller diameter than stock
depending on car vintage you lose the driver airbag tho
Magnus Walker likes em (my hero)
I just like the clean thin metal spokes - I love their older classic models and so does the marketplace

Maybe like unsprung weight in wheels , a lighter steering wheel feels more crisp, easier to move, feel road better less "insulated" maybe?
Bottom line : they look fast, (heck certain car colors are known to be faster, right?)
If I had a 70's car I'd want it to help me look like the best poser I can be.. (I just admitted that)

And when you add a little Italian to your German you are recreating WWII :-)

Await the folks who use one but those are my thoughts..

It really comes down to personal preference but I agree many seem to use them for the feel.

I had a Momo Race 3000 wheel on my previous car and it felt fantastic compared to the generic wheels used on a lot of modern cars. Go give one a feel and see what you think

Things like the contour of the wheel where your hands reside, and the available range of the diameters and depths of aftermarket steering wheels are also something to consider. Common wheels can range from 320mm to 380mm diameter and 0mm to 90mm in mounting depth.

The increase in grip if you choose to go with a suede covered wheel is also a big plus.
