Question DIY splitter mounting

I can't seem to get the search to work tonight. Neither "splitter" nor "alumalite" came up with hits, so I figure I'll just ask. I was thinking of trying to build a splitter out of alumalite for the upcoming season. Trouble is I have a stock 993 turbo bumper so it doesn't have a nice flat edge (I tried buying a fiberglass turbo s lip but it didn't fit well...). Has anyone tried mounding a DIY splitter to a turbo front end? Would it be advisable to attach the rear of the splitter with bolts through the trunk then APR supports in the front? My concern is if I hit something with the splitter it would do terrible things to the floor of the trunk.

Search on 996/7 gt3 fora - there's a few good threads - key is avoid tearing bumpers in an off
So breakable nuts or plus are used - on my fon so can search but I posted some pics
As did others
