Default 2010CaymanSCoilovers-JIC or Sachs?

Anyone running JIC or Sachs on their Pcar? Any opinions for any series-987, 997 etc would be appreciated.

My mechanic calls JIC 'garbage'. there are plenty of people who use them and happy with them.
some say thos shocks with time become difficult to adjust. some people had quality issues with JIC - upper plates, rods braking, upper monoballs are not of best quality, all that is highly subjective.

I got set of JIC cross from vivid for $2K early spring and try to sell it ever since as my mechanic gave me some details on why not to use them for my application.
I think if you use different upper mounts and those COs were originally problem free - they will run as good as any other comparable shocks. If you want bulletproofed stuff - get JRZ or Moton.

if anyone needs JIC cross magic 997 NB CO set for peanuts after such a commercial - send me a PM.

I ran ASTs on my 02 996 before it got rear ended. Excellent track/street suspension.

Sachs makes an SA street/track CO and full race COs. Their S/T units look like a step up from Bilstein S/T stuff. The quality and design seem good but the spring rates and valving are not full race rates. The AST can be good if properly calibrated for the application. JIC's are sketchy and there are some issues at the moment so you might want to avoid them? Moton and JRZ are top-of-the-line units primarily for race use. Their Club Sport type CO units are pretty good for street/HPDE activites but can be noisy for street use. Their full race units aren't really designed to be used on the street and are $5K+

Hey Guys: Thanks for your input. Finally decided to go with PSS9's. Will upgrade when I start to do more DE's as a regular event. THANKS!
