Default Mid-engine m64

I am doing some research for an upcoming project and am curious to know if anybody has seen the m64 engine used in a mid-engine configuration. I believe the GT1 is one example, but are there any others? Have there been any successful efforts to swap the m64 into the boxster/cayman platforms?

My Porsche Mechanic Mike Callas (www.rennsportporscheworks.com) has a Boxster with a 3.8L M64 air cooled engine and 5 speed Hewland gearbox. The car has a tube frame with a Boxster fiberglass body around it, not a Boxster chassie.

There's a Boxster down here with a GT3 motor in it. Very expensive project though.
