One of the advantages of 2-piece brake rotors is that they are rebuildable by reusing the hats and replacing just the clamping surface.
We had a customer's Mercedes CLK in recently to rebuild their Brembo rear rotors. The outside rotor rings were replaced, along with all the hardware. Here are some pics:
