can anyone suggest a good street/track suspension setup for my '87 924S?
keep in mind that i know very little about suspension components.
prices and tips on where to look would be great

IMHO: go with 200# front Weltmeister lowering springs, stock rear torsion bars, and Bilstein Sport shocks all for corners. Get the lowering springs (lowers the car about 1 1/4 inches), and have the whole car corner-balanced and 4-wheel aligned with neg.-2 degrees camber front and rear.
This will stiffen the ride moderately - but not severely, lower the center of gravitiy for A-X driving, and still keep the car comfy for the road. Drive this for awhile until you get to top of class. Then: consider upgrades from there.
That's what I did with great success.
