G50 LSD

Steve,
Are all the LSD's for the 993 unreliable?
The early 25/65% LSD's used before MY 1996 were manufactured by ZF while LSD's for MY 1996 and after are made by GKN. Were both manufacturers unsatisfactory? Are the new clutch pack rebuild kits available a solution to the problems?
Also is the 40/65% GKN supplied with the gearboxes for the RS/Carrera Cup cars unreliable as well? It would seem that a reliable differential would be supplied for the Carrera Cup cars. Thanks.

Hi:
I would not call the 993 OEM LSD "unreliable", I would term them: Short-lived.
Some can be modified to accept 4 disc's per side and some cannot; one must take it apart and see.
I am not sure what the RS's came with, the Cup cars came with the Motorsport LSD.
