need 951 advice
I need some advice on some temporary upgrades. I’m in the middle of building a 951 track car and I’m considering using a k 27 quick spool turbo off my 930 I have kicking around as a temporary upgrade. I will be using Jon miledge racing chips, a tial wastegate, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Cat bypass as well. Will this work? Any advice will be appreciated

Hi,
I used a Turbonetics Super V on a #8 hot housing from the 944 Turbo S, a Tial wastegate and Steve R chips. I was getting ~320rwhp @ 1 bar - I had done a lot of other work as well - but that turbo combination was very nice - I had full boost by ~3300rpm and it pulled like a freight train to red line.

Somthing to ponder also, the 930 turbo isn't watercooled. The 951 turbo's are.
Meaning that there's no provision for water cooling the bearings in the turbo on the 930's K27.
That will effect longevity.
Perhaps take the compressor from the k27 and fit it to the bearing and hot housing from the 951?
HTH!
