Post raise commpression in sc!!!

Would like to raise compression in 1978sc. Is there a way to do this with out changing the pistons and cylinders. I think the highest you can run with cis and single plugs is 9.7.1 !!! The car in question has 8.5.1. WOuld I see alot of difference if I change the comppression and change the cams to 20 /21 grind or 964 grind???

you can raise the compression by milling some material from the cylinder bases, or from the head mating surface. you must also mill the same amount from the chain housings so everything lines up.

If you go this route you should install new chains and chain ramp, as well as new tensioners because there will be more slack in the chains because of the reduced distance from the cam centers, to the crank center
