Post Exhaust Pressure Readings

Gents, I need to know if anyone has measured the exhaust pressure on their car with a plugged versus a new catalytic converter? If so how much pressure difference is there? Is there an actual exhaust pressure reading I should be looking for to check the converter and muffler on my 1986 NA 944?

I've also posted this in the 944 Forum with no responses.

Thanks, Tim

Paul, I would love to see the numbers. It would be great if you can provide a copy of the sheet.

Thanks, Tim

Tim, I assume you have a performance problem, if you remove the O2 sensor and hook up a pressure gauge in its place, you should see no more than 2or 3 psi pressure with the engine running at 3000 rpm, no load. What sort of problem are you having? Typical symptoms of restricted exhaust are low power and very flat acceleration, even with no load.
