Post 87 944, Battery from the front to the trunk.

Where can i buy the extened cables to put my battery in the trunk of my car. Is there a kit? Someone said they saw one in a magazine but couldn't dig it up.

Thanks for the help.

We just buy the cable in bulk, a battery box, and start soldering everything up. It takes some time but ends up cleaner.

Do you solder or use compression lugs? I would think for a cable that size, soldering would not work, you'd need a welding torch to get the cable hot enough to take on the solder it would need for a good connection!

Actually we use solder pills. The way you do it is size your wire up then strip it. Get your fitting loaded in a bench vise and drop into the opening a solder pill (solder and flux in a pill shape) and heat untill the pill is liquid then insert the wire and remove the heat. We then slide over heat shink to protect everything. Walla ready to feed a family of four
