Curious.... Can you put a racing muffler on a 996 Cup Car to beat the db levels at some tracks? Assuming you will take a hit on power and a tweak to the ECU... but for some DE events it would be ok. Thoughs?

Call Speedsport Tuning in Connecticut 203-847-9339 Spencer prepares 6 996GT3 Cup cars and use mufflers for Lime Rock and knows what brackets and simple hardware to buy to make it all work. You basically use hiperformance 996 street mufflers and have to buy 996 GT3 street mounting brackets from any Porsche parts department that will mount to the sides of the engine and hook up low backpressure low restriction mufflers and you good to go.

This is excatly what 993 SUPERCUP owners do .....buy Porsche 993 engine brackets that came on the 993 street cars and mount freeflow mufflers and then run at any racetrack at any time.
