HELP! Head stud replacement
I have an 86 951 which I am rebuilding as a 2.8L after a rod bearing failure. My head has had a complete valve job and has been ported and o-ringed. I will be running with a mass air flow, K29-8 turbo, dual port wastegate and custom chips.
While attempting to torque the head, two studs appear to have stretched.
Does anyone know if the 951's use stretch type head studs? Should I replace my studs with Raceware studs? Is this a particularly nasty procedure? Thanks for your advice,
