OK what's the story with the 23mm master
OK what is the story with the 23mm master cylinder conversion for 911? Why can't you just use one from a boosted car? I mocked one up in the car and it looks like it belongs there. Is there anything else you have to watch out for? I've got a Bremtek setup for the front and I want to try a larger caliper on the rear. Any suggestions? This is for street only.

Hi Barrie:
Pretty simple deal on this:
For boosted Porsche cars using larger 4-piston calipers, the stock 19mm MC will not displace enough fluid per stroke so you can use the Turbo 23mm MC in all 76-89 911's.
For non boosted Porsches using 4-piston calipers, you should use a special Mercedes 23mm MC setup that replaces the 19mm MC next to the front crossmember under the car. You should also use the aluminum crossmember for more clearance, too.
Hope that clarifies this for ya.

Here's a nice run down of the steps necessary to use a boosted mc on a non boosted car. Courtesy of Dr. Steve Timmons
