Post Shortening a G50

Hi
I need to shorten my G50 so I can fit it into a SC. It looks like if I take of 1.1" that would be about right. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks

send it to a specialist, there are way too many things you can get wrong. I recommend Mike Bavaro at Bodymotion, but others do the same job-
Just taking off the inch or so is half the issue, it has to be done perfectly square, and the mainshaft needs to be shortened as well- save the frustration- send it out

I was going to send it to a mach. shop. I was wondering how much to tell them to take off. I got a measurement from someone and I wanted to double check it.

a normal machine shop will not know which are critical points to keep in mind when machining a trans like this- save the money and headache and just have it done by someone who has done it before
