Post 16" Wheels for my '71T?

I am interested in going to a 16" wheel on my '71 911T. I would like to stick with the fuchs or early designs. I also want to purchase new if possible. Can anyone comment on my options (i.e. type, width, source)? Thx.

I have the same year and model. I'd love to hear a response on this as well. I was wondering what will fit in the wheel well of my car too.

16x6" Fuchs fit fine on the early cars. This was a factory size on umpteen SC and 3.2 Carrera cars so there are tons of wheels out there.

I ran them on my 70 with 205/55R16 tires and was very happy with the setup. I did not have to roll the fender lips or run excessive negative camber to get them to fit either. This might vary on particular cars though.

I run 16"x7" Fuch wheels on my car.('70 T) They fit fine and offer a much wider variety of rubber than the 15" wheels. I did roll the fender lips to get a little more room, They were on the car when I bought it, so I don't know if there was any change in the offset or not, I don't think so. I'm drifting a little off topic, but I'm looking for a Little off topic...I'm looking for a set of 16"x9" Fuchs alloys for the rear end. Any one know where I might be able to find a pair? What are high quality examples going for?

When I bought 16x9 Fuchs, I found them in a Rennlist classified. I bought them from a racer who was upgrading to 17's. They weren't pristine but were straight/held air, and I stripped the yellow off and refinished them in black. Seem to recall paying $750-$800 for the pair.

Thanks for the information, I needed to find out what I might be paying for these wheels. I don't need concourse condition wheels. Using 7-800 as a ballpark reference is a good start. I've been looking for them at various classifieds for a little while, I'll keep on looking.
