Suspension MODIFICATIONS??? for 944
hey guys,
i need some suggestions for Suspension setup for track, i have an 89 944 turbo and it feels really loose on the track right now...968 sways are on the way,and i want to get upgraded coilovers at all 4 corners. what is the best bang for the buck ??? (money is a pretty big concern, since im a student) so BANG FOR THE BUCK is what im looking for. (not neccesarly the cheapest). can u tell me your setup (spring rates and coil overs)

Another victim of the slippery slope!!!
You can see from my sig. what I have for my track car and I am very happy with them although I may go to 550# springs over the winter.
If your car is a daily driver I would suggest perhaps Koni Adjustables in front with 250# springs and an upgraded torsion bar in the rear. This would be cheaper and more user friendly.

It wont be street driven that much, i might drive it to some local tracks but thats about it. i know ill probly spend alot more money than i intend to...
i def want some higher rate springs, my biggest concern is what to do to the rear (shock wise) and the front (shock wise) ....i want 2 way adjustible shock compresion and rebound....
or do you think i should be good with my m030 shocks once i add springs and lower the car???
thanks

M030 w/ the ride height adjustable konis is pretty decent with a good alignment IMO, I had that on my S2, but last winter I did Ground Control coilovers on the front w/ 350# springs. It's quite a bit stiffer and flatter. The rear feels a little soft with the 25.5s (and yellow konis), but it's well balanced on the auto-x track. I should try adding some stiffness to the 968 adjustable rear sway I have.
It's gonna cost you to stiffen up the rear, you'll either have to go with bigger torsion bars, or add coilovers (and reindex your 25.5s), -either way involves a lot of labor cost.
Like stated above, you could try 250# springs, which aren't too bad a match w/ your 25.5 rear t-bars. Give that a try.
You've already got adjustable ride-height Konis in the front?
