Question GT3 vs H&R sways - install questions

I'm driving a 2000 996 Cab4 with stock (not Sport) suspension.

I've sent multiple emails to several performance parts companies with these questions but have heard nothing back.

Sway bar sizes:
........................Front............Rear
Porsche Stock....23.1(mm).....18.5
RoWM030.........23.6..............19.6
GT3..................26.8..............20.7
H&R.................25.................24

1) Tirerack tells me that the H&R front bar is 3-way adjustable, but other people on here tell me it is not. What is the truth?

2) I've heard that both the front and the rear GT3 bars are hollow. True?

3) I've heard that both the GT3 front and the H&R front bars will require new front drop links to fit. In the case of the GT3 front, do I need the stock GT3 front drop links or are there special links so that they will fit on a stock 996 suspension? Who carries them? What drop links do I need for the H&R front?

4) I've heard that the GT3 rear bar will require new drop links to fit the 996. True? If so, do I need the stock GT3 rear drop links or are there special links so that they will fit on a stock 996 suspension? Who carries them?

5) I've heard that the H&R rear bar will not require new drop links to fit, but that there is a good chance that the stock 996 rear drop links will not hold up under the additional torque and should be replaced with something heavier anyway. True? If so, replace with what... GT3 rear drop links? (see above question)

Hey, any help will be appreciated. If you know of a good source for answering these questions, that would be great too.

Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Jeff:

1) The H&R front bar for the AWD cars is 3-way adjustable.

2) Factory GT-3 bars are NOT hollow.

3) To use an adjustable front bar on the AWD 996's , you need some special droplinks. These are specific to each brand of bar; H&R, TRG, Factory.

4) GT-3 rear bars require GT-3 droplinks. It should be provided as part of the kit.

5) I don't use H&R bars (Factory or TRG, only) so I cannot help on that one,...

Hope this helps a little.
