Default 930 fan on TT-converted 3.6 engine?

Hello!

According to info found in archives, 3.6 fan has curved blades that make it run quieter but it also pumps less air than standard 930/SC 11-bladed fan.

Figures i found indicate that SC/Carrera/930 fan pumps around 1500L/sec @ 6000 RPM using standard gearing (1:1.67), where 3.6 fan pumps around 1000L/sec at same speeds?

We have TT-converted engine that pumps several times the amount of power that regular N/A 3.6 does, so cooling needs to be adressed. Right now, smaller pulley is being used but belt life is severely shortened. We are using flat belt with a tensioner but it still want's to jump off. Fan is currently overdriven with smaller pulley which probably is the reason why it want's to jum off so often.

This happened before and it cooked the engine ($$$$).

Is it possible to install 930/SC/Carrera fan on 3.6 generator without too much fuss? Is OEM 3.6T or 993TT fan a better solution? Does it flow more air?

Thanx!

993TT is the way to go,but you need a fan housing to go with it,the earlier fan won't fit.,cheers,Sonny.
