Question motive power bleeder

Just got one of these. Has anyone recently bought one? Box had been opened by dealer before I received it. I think there are parts missing. Anyone know exactly what comes with it? Mine had just the bottle - the pump top - and some clear tubing. thanks

It's been awhile since I used mine, but there should be a top to go on you brake m/c that attaches to your clear tubing.

A930 Rocket is correct. There is a screw cap attached to the end of the tubing which you screw onto the brake fluid reservoir so you can pump the brake fluid from the bottle into the reservoir.

Didn't they come with a cheapo clamp to close the overflow too?

Mine did not come w/an overflow clamp. Just the bleeder w/the cap attached.

Make sure you have the gasket that fits under the cap...

Hi,
I just bought one ...the 'for european cars' one ...directly from CDOC. $57 plus $8 shipping.

Contents:
i) the Motive Power bleeder itself
-- the top part is the black handle + cover assy. which terminates (at the end of a long piece of see-thru' plastic tubing) in a black plastic brake resevoir screw cover. It's called the Adapter 1100.
ii) a black soft circular v. flexible rubber gasket that fits very neatly and nicely inside the black plastic cap. I presume this is to _totally_ ensure a tight seal when you pump up the pressure.
iii) a 8" or so piece of see-thru plastic tubing. (this, imho, could have been longer!)

BTW, the inside of the power bleeder was dusty -- so I cleaned out EVERYTHING using alcohol. There's NO POINT in power flushing dust and grit thru' your brake lines, now is there! (And yes, I let it *totally* dry out before use!)

G.
BTW, my 993 is a '96 so the 'overflow' is clamped off 'from the factory'. (Read: NO overflow 'tubing').
