I'm thinking of removing my center console on my 1982 911SC. I think it's ugly, and besides it will eventually be a dedicated DE/track/club race car. I like the bare center look. But what to do with the A/C and other control that's mounted there? I'd like to keep them functional for another year or two until I remove the A/C compressor and all unnecessary stuff. They'd look funny flopping around by their wires on the floor.

Why don't you relocate them to the ashtray area?
