Default Issues with Flat 6 MotorSports?

Howdy!

I recently got the Armytrix valvetronic exhaust for my 987.2 S through Flat 6 Motorsports, but have been having a rather poor experience with their support - I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with them?

The issue I had was I have a manual 987.2, which Flat 6's site didn't mention was incompatible with the Armytrix exhaust (they just listed 987.2 gen as compatible). In their defense, Armytrix doesn't explicitly say it doesn't work for manual either, but it does clearly state PDK on Armytrix's site - my folly for not double checking. So despite taking my VIN to "confirm compatibility", I now have a >$3k exhaust that won't fit my car; and after some annoying repeated requests for photo proof (which were provided to Armytrix and Flat 6 on three separate occasions), it has been weeks with no response from Flat 6 on a return. I even expressed I'd be more than happy to purchase the (more expensive) SOUL exhaust through them instead, but so far their service has pretty thoroughly convinced me against doing that with them.

It's worth noting that Flat 6 did update their site immediately to indicate the Armytrix exhaust doesn't fit a 987.2 manual, but I seem to be getting ghosted on a return ... anyone deal with a similar issue / have any suggestions? I guess as an aside, if anyone's looking for a new exhaust for their PDK 987.2 - I may have one to spare 🙃

I'll touch base with our order management team tomorrow morning to get an answer for you. My guess is we're waiting on a return authorization from Armytrix on this. Either way, we'll get this taken care of for you. Sorry for any delay.

Hey Jon,

Thanks so much for looking into that, my contact on your end reached out to me with an update this morning.

I now have a better understanding why the hold up is on Armytrix' end, as you suspected. I was under the impression my return would be more directly with Flat 6 than is the case, so I was getting concerned by the delay; thanks for clarifying.

I look forward to resolving this with your team, and maybe still getting that Soul exhaust after all

Thanks again,
-Eric

Happy to help! We usually do bring merchandise back here but on larger products like exhausts, etc. it helps us save cost sometimes to use our vendor/manufacturer logistics (which in turn helps us provide free shipping on orders). Thanks for your understanding and patience, we look forward to helping you in the future!
