I currently have an aftermarket hub and wheel installed that brings the front of the steering wheel rim out exactly 8 inches from the steering column hub.
Can you tell me what the total distance from the FRONT of the steering wheel rim to the FRONT of the steering column hub is for this spacer on that Macan wheel (assume it's the same as a 997 Sport Wheel)?
This is not my picture but essentially this measurement:

Hi, sorry for my late reply but I was really busy.
Just measured: 170 mm.
170 : 25.4 = 6.69"
So, the total distance measured like in your pic, but supposing the car fitted with my spacer and stock steering wheel, is a bit more than 6 " 1/2
I developed an harness which makes useless cutting wires on 997/987 and younger cars, which could be a true PITA. You can see it in the pictures.
On 996/986 and older cars, extending the wires is much more easier.
I can laser imprint custom writtens on the alu cover now.

Hello,
I've made another batch of the 993 996 986 steering wheel spacer.
I improved them a little bit:
- the aluminium is ALL matt black anodized
- the rib is not glued on but machined in the aluminium
- the extra 2" wire to connect the horn is included in the supply now.
- I've made detailed fitting instructions in English that I'll put in the box.
The 997 991 spacers are under machining and will be ready in the incoming days.
