This is an OEM Porsche Steering Wheel that was professionally wrapped in alcantara. It has a red center stripe and red stitching. It is also a bit thicker than OEM wheel and has built-up thumb rests. The back cover of the steering wheel has been wrapped too so this wheel can match any interior color. The trim pieces have been wrapped in 3M 1080 Carbon Fiber Vinyl.

The steering wheel has not been installed since wrapping. Please be sure you have a triangular airbag for fitment.

This was by far my favorite upgrade to my 2006 Cayman S because I get to enjoy it the entire time I drive my car. I am constantly getting compliments on mine (see pic).

Any idea if this would work as a replacement for a 997.1 GT3?

Should work just fine as long as you have the triangular airbag. Will not fit with the circular airbag.

unfortunately I have the circular one that comes with the GT3 alcantara-wrapped steering wheel from factory.

Where did you get yours wrapped?

I've got a guy in Europe who wrapped these for me. It's a bit expensive with the shipping, but if you get a few done at the same time (like I did), it works out alright.
