I am posting on behalf of a good friend who is looking to sell this stunning matte carbon fiber wrapped 981 Cayman/Boxster hood. The hood was produced by DB Carbon in Germany and adds a great bit of contrast and texture to the front of the car, taking after the similar theme of the 997 GT2RS. The hood was ordered and purchased directly from DB Carbon, and is a genuine OEM 981 hood wrapped and finished in a beautiful matte carbon weave that is easily worthy of being mounted to a Porsche. To complement the carbon top surface, the underside of the hood has been finished in gloss black.

The hood was actually never mounted to the GT4 it was intended for, as the owner came upon the opportunity to purchase a GT3 before he was able to have the hood installed. The only visible blemish is a very small chip on the edge/underside near where the driver’s side hood support strut would mount. The owner has invested more than $5,500 in this hood - With that in mind, all reasonable offers will be considered. The hood is located in northeast Ohio. Shipping can be arranged at the buyer’s expense, or local pickup is also available.

So to clarify 1) this a OEM hood that is then wrapped in carbon fiber and 2) the asking price is $5000?

Correct, this is an OEM hood wrapped in a high-quality matte finish carbon fiber. In regards to price, my friend is willing to take a loss. $5000 is his original goal, although I know he has flexibility. What makes sense to you?
