take a photo with your username on a paper next to the seat.

cincy, it appears that the pic u used was also used in the link powderhound showed. and are a fairly new user.
i have also seem several scams going on. in fact i just sold a set of seats last week and the buyer wanted me to write my name and current date, take picture then send to him. i complied but didn't understand why. now i do.
not saying your a scammer, but we do protect our small community.

I sent powdrhound a copy of the invoice by email. On that email is also my PCA National Driving Instructor training from Pete Tremper that year. Here is another pic. If someone wants to FaceTime me before buying that is fine

powderhounds account has been hacked as well. this may not be him posting. john contatced me today and told me he is unable to log in or post. i have contaced admin about all this scam and hackers.
i would suggest for now not clicking on any links or give any info out unless you know the memeber personally and can verify it is him selling the item. hopefully admin can put a stop to this mess

I was in contact with one regarding some seats, and felt something wasn't right. Searched and found it was a scam. These guys don't get it. If I lose a few grand, I will most likely spend the money on a plane ticket. Vengeance is served up slowly, and well cooked. Thankfully, I found that it wasn't to be, before it resulted in someone eating their meals out of straws.

Guys,
Just a heads up. Recently, many accounts on Rennlist, mine included, got hacked. This has carried over to 6speed where most people use the same screen name and password. In my case, the hacker gained access to my account and began posting items for sale in my name. I learned of this when I could not access my account here and on rennlist nor could I reset my password as my email on file had been changed. When I clicked on my user name and went to stats/posts, I could see there were posts in the classifieds that I never made. I contacted another member here by phone who in turn notified one of the moderators who then deleted the hackers info and reset my account with a new password. Other items may be posted there as well as I have no control of my account there.
We all have to protect ourselves and on thing I would suggest when people post items up for sale that they include a picture of the item for sale along with a piece of paper showing their screen name and the current date. This will prevent the scammers from using random pictures of items they copied on line. Also beware of people that you can not contact by phone.
JUST TO REITERATE, I HAVE NOT MADE ANY POSTS IN THE LAST 48 HOURS AS I WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. ANY POSTS MADE UNDER MY SCREEN NAME WERE DONE BY THE HACKER INCLUDING THE POSTS ABOVE IN THIS THREAD.
For anyone that has a Rennlist account, it might be a good idea to copy and post a version of this thread on Rennlist also. Once people are aware of this, this will make the job of the scammers that much more difficult and they will move on. Thanks!
