This is a Generation 1 GMG WC Harness/Rollbar. This bar has been discontinued due to the fact that GMG redesigned the bar to allow for the passenger seat to go all the way back. I wish I was informed about this from the previous owner, but I guess it's buyer beware and I should have done my research. Anyways, I'm going to try and sell the bar before I say F'it and install it in my car.

If you don't need your passenger seat to go all the way back, then this bar will work for you just fine. It's got some of the other bars beat by the fact that it's a cromoly bar and not mile steel like some of the others.

I just had it powdercoated white and it came out looking beautiful. Absolutely no runs and a nice thick super shiny coat. The powercoating shop took extra time in prepping the surface for the coat and it shows.

BTW, GMG also sells the extra bracing that takes the bar to the shock towers and adds additional bracing from rear tower to tower. It's $645 and would make the bar probably as stout as their RSR bar.

I'm looking to get $1,000 for the bar and I will ship. the bar is located in Southern California.

I don't know how far back the passenger seat will go but will call GMG in the morning to find out. Don't. know if it will fit a 996, but I'm going to guess, probably not.

did gmg have a response to the pass seat recline question? do you have all the spacers and mounting bolts? lastly what would the cost be for your powdercoater to change the color to speed yellow?

Fabryce at GMG said that the bar hinders the ability to recline the passenger seat. When I asked if it hindered the backward movement of the seat and by how many notches, he didn't know.

Everything is included with the bar. It's ready to install. My powdercoater charged me $150 to turn it white. I might be able to get him to give me a discount to get it to speed yellow, however, I don't think you can get a perfect match with powder coating. you would have to paint it to get a perfect match. My white isn't a perfect match but it's so close, once it's in the car the difference would not be noticeable. It might work the same for yellow.

I am stopping by there on Friday. I can pick up a sample yellow piece and mail it out to you to inspect if you wish. I will also be at GMG, time permitting, and can speak with Fabryce about getting it coated Speed Yellow.
