Custom Wheel Roof Rack for 2006-2012 Caymans. Carries 1 full set of 18” or 19” wheels (deflate to 15# for best fit). Very solid with tie-down eye-bolts. Works well, but I went full track car w/ trailer.

Easy to mount and unmount. More convenient on the road than a trailer, solid as a rock, and drives well. One roof rack bolt should be replaced as it’s starting to strip. Includes the Porsche roof rack system, well used; a new Rhino Rack, used once to go to VIR and back; and a 5mm extended Allen wrench. Something like $1,200 new, plus custom assembly.

I simply can't ship this so you will need to be able to get to Boston to pick it up, or arrange for pickup. If you want just the rack I may consider this, shoot me a PM.

 

 

I have this exact setup albeit for a 997 and can confirm the OPs comments that this is a rock solid platform for trips to the track. I took mine from Chicago to Road America quite a few times. Still have it and still use it.
