Hello,
I will be starting auto to manual transmission swap in the next 2 months. If anyone is interested in perfect running S4 auto transmission from my car - 1990 S4 with 72,000 miles I am taking offers.
For a right price I can include rebuild torque tube (from 928 international) with leas than 2000 miles on it as well as any needed lines and transmission cooler.
Transmission has new converter clutch bearings. No leaks at all. Fluid and new filter when I had TT and bearings replaced less than 2,000 miles ago. Car is still being driven before the swap so anyone interested I can take for a ride to see how well it functions.
This transmission has the hook up for the differential lock and for price my mechanic charges me for removal I can add in the PSD controller and lines to the deal.
Message me with reasonable offers.
You can look at my for sale forum if you want to see the car it will be from.

PSD
Hello,
The PSD is just an activator rod in the differential. Pushed in/out by pneumatic PSD controller. I actually have the electronic part disabled but all the hardware is there. So if you have an earlier model I would just put in the transmission without the PSD controller. Another issue based on the model is the speed sensor - I heard that in some years speed is sensed from transmission and others from wheel ABS/Speed sensor. You can try talking to 928 International or posting on rennlist or asking a 928 mechanic for details. I can vouch for perfect transmission working order (car also serviced recently at Kelly Moss Motorsports including 2 dyno runs - one before and one after engine “top end refresh”). Car can be driven until next week when I am taking it up to 928 Motorsports to have auto swapped to manual.
Do you need/want the torque tube also (less than 5000 miles since purchased with remanufactured bearings from 928 International)?
Can call me with questions - send me an IM and I will give you my phone number.
