Boxster Spyder / Cayman R Struts
Category: Steering & Suspension
Price (no $ sign please): $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 987, Cayman, Race Car
Location (Region): Midwestern
Item Condition: Used
I picked these up slightly used from a forum member 2 seasons ago (if I remember correctly...the original car had ~5000 miles and a few track days w/a green student). These proved to be a very capable upgrade over my base suspension. The last two track events of the year w/these struts yielded high 1:27s at Grattan Raceway and low 1:42s/high 1:41s at Mid-ohio w/chicane. No other upgrades on my car. My cayman saw maybe 1000 street miles...if that.
I wanted to try my hand at a suspension w/a little more adjustability. So despite plenty of life left in the dampers I am inclined to part w/these struts.
New from Suncoast is $2400 (see link below).

The part numbers are on the stickers (which are obviously not legible from the picture) actually stamped on the parts. I will be able to update the post with the part numbers tomorrow.
Feel free to PM an offer you are thinking.

All-
I was able to confirm that the part numbers on the dampers are:
1) 987 333 051 18
2) 987 343 042 08
The part numbers are stamped in the sheet metal of the shock absorber housing. My research indicates that these dampers are the same part number between Boxster Spyder and Cayman R.
I was also able to determine that the springs are those from a PDK-equipped car from the color codes on each spring. What this likely means is a slightly stiffer rate (or possibly different set load) to compensate for the additional mass of the PDK transmission.
