Porsche Handover
Hi All
I thought I'd introduce my self. I'm a newbie to Porsche and have just been told I am to take delivery/handover Next Tuesday from my dealer.
I've snapped myself a used Panamera 4S Diesel with 500miles on the clock.
My options are listed below together with some pics, but I wanted to ask a few questions from anyone who has previous experience:
1.Is there anything specific I should be asking about the formal handover when I go to collect the car
2.I've got PCC, I understand I need to buy the Vodafone pcc car security subscription for £476.00 for 2 years - anyone know if this is correct. Believe it or not mydealer isn't sure I need it; he thinks it comes with it.
3. I have an iPhone 6S. Is there anything special I will need to do to stream music via Bluetooth; I have Spotify so want to listen to it. is this possible.
4. Do I need to be asking anything else when I take delivery.
Sorry for the basic questions, just want to make sure I get most value.
Anyway, here is my spec and pics.
Volcano Grey
21" Turbo Wheels with inserts
Rear PoweSteering with pwer steering plus
sport design package
4 Zone Climate
Black smooth leather with Porsche Crests
Steering Wheel heating
14 Way Seats
F & R Heated seats
Bose Sound
USB in rear
PASM

I have a hybrid coming of similar spec but with black window trim. Man they look amazing!!
I've only had good experience with deliveries - you are not "on your own" going forward like you can be sometimes. I had a warning light come on with the 911 and they rushed it in, gave a loaner etc. Dealer will set-up your phone for you with Apple car etc.
The new Porsche connect allows you to create a geofence around the car so say you want to leave it at the train station during the day and someone drives out of the defined area then you get notified. Key question though is whether your insurance company requires you to have the tracker?
Enjoy!

Hi guys, thanks. yes it has sports chono as well. forgot that as well as lane change assist and panoramic sunroof!.
anyway, now for the bad news!. got a call at 5.40 pm today from dealer saying their pdi checks have found that the rear blind that covers the rear part of the sunroof has a problem and the part is going to take a week to come in AND its a major 10hour plus job to replace.
i'm concerned about whether the roof lining will be a problem after they've done the job
and im pissed cos i wont have my toy for at least another 7 days PLUS.
Any thoughts.

Maybe ask for a Porsche loaner to see you through the 7 day + delay...?

Ask for a 911 for a week. With my 2 month delay they have more or less agreed to lend me anything for a day or two at a time if needed. 911 C4S Cabrio for the long weekend!
