Default Is PDCC necessary?

Hi guys,

I would like to know whether Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) incl. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) is necessary on Panamera 4s? This is my first Porsche and I will not be taking it on tracks. This is the specs that I've made. http://www.porsche-code.com/PJJ2IRB7
Any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks!

I didn't drive a Panamera with PDCC. I can tell you that modern 5/6/7 BMWs are unbearable without their version of anti-roll stabilization, and great cars with it.

I would be miffed to be forced to also get PTV+, though. I don't like differential locks pimped up with braking. Some computer randomly pulling on my wheels is bad enough, but routinely using one of the brakes? Meh.

Nothing is have to have on a Porsche. I'm just saying vs 4-zone climate control and a couple of other items - I'd instead have PDCC on the vehicle. I saw your build as an enthusiast build with the sport package etc. / a drivers car.

I think it's a great system and really makes the drive even more enjoyable when you can carve the canyons or even on ramps and the car just stays extremely flat allowing higher cornering speeds.

But, a Porsche is great from the factory with floor mats and nothing else-

Congrats,

Beez

You have a lot of options specced and the sport package plus red accents inside over black. It is not going to the track but it sure looks the part! If your budget allows it, go for the PDCC.

I have experience with it on Cayennes and it is a big difference. Big, heavy, tall vehicle will use it. We are not as high as Cayennes, but I imagine it would help some of my spirited driving in my 2015 P4S without PDCC. Good luck!

I have it. Would never opt with out it.

It makes the car corner flat with no body roll. Just like monster sway bars from the old school days.

I have it on my PGTS. As noted, PDCC helps the car corner flat... minimize body-roll. PTV+ helps the car pivot/rotate in a turn which you will not notice unless pushing the vehicle hard. However, PDCC and PTV+ are a single option. Rear-wheel steer also helps to pivot/rotate the car in a turn. Need or desire depends on your driving?
