My Panamera 4 has at last arrived at my (UK) Porsche Centre. I'll be picking it up later this week. In the meantime they've given me a nice Carmine Red 4SD loaner! :-)

Thanks, guys! I will certainly post some pictures from collection day - this coming Friday afternoon, plus my first impressions of how the petrol 4 compares to the 4SD.

The 4SD has a lot more torque, an extra 92 horsepower and is a second quicker to 62 mph. It is I believe the world's fastest production diesel. However the 4 is a whopping 200kg lighter! And it has a 3.0 V6 petrol engine :-)

I find it a bit strange that the US gets a detuned 2.9L v6 instead of the single turbo 3L, but there it is. Definitely wish we were getting the 4L diesel. Even more fun if they made a diesel e-hybrid out of it. ALL THE TORQUES

did you get the steel roof or the panoramic roof?

No pano roof for me. It wasn't available to spec when I finalised my order in November.
