My car has been pretty trouble-free, but has now presented me with an issue:
The gas pump jockies can't fill my fuel tank.....the nozzle kicks off shortly after starting the fill. I've gone to different pumps and different stations and get the same results. I notice there is a "breather" that is just above the fill port and wonder if this might be clogged if it is a "breather' such that it kicks the nozzle off fill as though the tank is full.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as the pump jocks don't enjoy resetting the nozzle continuously.
Found the answer to my problem and it was basically sabotage. I looked in the car's filler port and found a small green plastic part that looked like a cap to spray container or the like. It was far enough down the pipe that it took a long set of tweezers to reach. I suspect the "device" was inserted in the nozzle of the fuel pump and was swept into my filler tube, it was large enough to block most of the hose and cause a backup of gas simulating a filled tank. Anyway, I can now fill the tank.........
