Default Auto Dimming Mirrors

Hello, I'm sorry to be asking such a trite question, but I have trouble with my eyes and need a car that has auto-dimming mirrors. My 2012 Panamera 4 does not have them. Now, I am looking for another Panamera, and I have searched all over to try to find out which models/years have the feature. It is not in the owners manuals and some of the third party information seems to be inaccurate.

I would very much appreciate it if anyone could tell me how I might locate information that would tell me this. I need to rule out cars that don't have this feature in advance as I do a search. Many of the salespeople don't seem to know.

Thank you,
Nick

I have an auto-dimmer for the interior center mirror and I don't find that it dims all that much. I don't know if the outside mirrors dim, I haven't noticed it. '13 GTS

In the owner's manual it is referred to as "Automatic anti-dazzle" for both rear view and side view mirrors. It does not darken as much as the manual day/night rear view mirrors. It does reduce the bright lights in the the mirrors noticeably.

I believe the auto dimming function is an option. Therefore some Panameras have it and some don't.

Back in 2010 and 2011 when I ordered mine, the auto-dimming interior and side mirrors were an option:
261 Auto Dimming Int & Ext Mirrors 420.00

Now, when I look on the Porsche web site, they have become a standard option. So somewhere between 2011 and 2015 they have become a standard option. If I were to guess maybe 2014 when they introduced the changes to the body, but that is just a guess.

If the mirror has the flip **** on the bottom, it doesn't have the auto-dimming. The auto-dimming mirror instead has a button (or is it two?) and a light that changes color to reflect whether the auto-dimming is on or off.
