Got a small dent from snow bank on my 4s. Repair guy said since it is aluminum I need a new door for $3000. The paint is fine and it is at bottom of passenger door but bums me out. Hate winter. Anyone else get repair work on doors?

Get yourself a good PDR guy who knows what he is doing. Obviously yours does not. Ask around at your local Porsche Region club meeting and get a recommendation. I've had dents removed from numerous Aluminum panels -
you just need the right guy.
I have two small dents also. One is on hood, the other is on the roof. Will dent repair work on these two panels? Are they aluminum? I've had dents removed from other cars with excellent results.
On day, we had our Cayenne in a storage place, were boxes were piled next to it.
While we were out, one box fall down and made a pretty good dent on the top of the front fender.
I was sure that it would require a good service at a body shop.
Our service person at Rector told me "you should try a paintless dent removal !"
I did, at the work was just like brand new : super impressive.
It really works well.
HUH?.....that sounds just completely absurd! I had two small door dings a month after getting the car...took it to a local "dent king", as coordinated by my dealer, and both were removed for $125. zero residual left, and good as new. I would think you would be in someone the same situation, but of course slightly higher expense.
