I typically go about 3600 miles before adding a quart, so if that is consumption I guess it's minimal.
This is about the same as my experience with my 11PTT with 16kmiles.

Anyone with "excessive oil consumption" or just anyone with a newer Porsche, should call in to your dealership and have them check for open "service actions" or "campaigns" as these cars get updates regularly including on some models a new style crankcase breather that reduces oil consumption on cayennes and panameras. There are also quite a bit of software updates out for various issues...

2012 PTT - 25,000 miles - no oil consumption to date (no oil needed to be added between 1st two service visits or since).

'13 4S here; at almost exactly 10,000, my oil level light came on indicating it was down a quart. Just in time for scheduled oil change. So, doesn't appear to be an issue with mine.

I am adding a quart every 5k or so to my 10 4s Dealer says it is normal. Had a few boring Lexus cars in the past that never used a drop

Dealer is correct. That's normal. There is a recent oil consumption post on the 997 Forum. You should take a look.
