Morning gents....well, the day has finally come...The car is at the dealership, and I pick it up monday after work! Curious as to what miles are "acceptable" on a personally ordered car of this caliber? Since coming directly from the factory, I am thinking 10 miles or less is the expected norm....
Any insight from recent experiences?

All of my ordered cars came in under 20 miles, maybe 30. But... the factory does occasionally, randomly, take a car to test, so it could get some miles ranked from that. Also depending on where in the ship the car is parked, you could get quite a few miles that way. And depending on how thorough the dealership is on their PDI and how far away the gas station is, there could be a few more miles on it from that as well.
Congrats on the new car. If it's at the dealership now, how in the dickins are you going to wait until Monday?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks MJ....well, just a coincidence of timing. Leaving in the morning for a business trip to the Cayman's, and did not want the car to sopend its first few days with me sitting in the airport. So, I get back late Sunday, and am leaving work early Monday to go to dealership, do the dreaded paperwork, and then drive that puppy home. How long before I can do launch control? :-)

I'd say anything under 30 is acceptable; sometimes it's easier to drive the car from one dealer lot to another rather than load on the truck; sometimes the car is tested by the dealership to make sure it's ready for delivery...

Cole,
My Turbo had 5 miles on it when I first saw it at the dealer. I ordered a GTS and it had 6 miles on it when I first saw it. I took a drive with GM and Sales Mgr. since it was 1st they had gotten in. I decided to pass and buy a PTT instead. It sold the next day with 23 miles on it.
I have seen 5-7 miles on the 6 Porsches I have purchased from that dealer.
By the way are you tracking the boat your car is coming over on?

Get your dealer to look up in the system what ship your car is on and you can track its progress from shipping to docking in the port it will arrive at.
