There you go, for the quality-conscious but performance-oriented buyer who actually cares about design, this car can fill up the role quite nicely.

+1. It's an improvement over the Panamera, but it's just not quite a wagon. I'll reserve judgment, but it doesn't look like it'll have the full functionality we wagon-lovers want.

Sadly, we won't get the RS6 avant. link. Probably no RS4 avant either. So that just leaves the MB E63 AMG wagon, special order ONLY. Starts at $91k, with decent options you're at $105k.

This reminds me of the first generation cayenne vs. the latest one. When I met the VP of Porsche NA marketing at the time, he said the latest cayenne was what they were going for in the beginning but had to get something to market quick. Its like this is what they really intended for the Panamera but rushed current version out to make some money before they could release this.

Total agreement! Ditch the pig!

When I was in my 20's I rented a wretched domestic vehicle while in Florida. The car had an all digital dash, and the gas gauge was a vertical bar graph. I drove this car for almost an entire week and couldn't believe how amazing the MPG must have been because I still had a bit less than a quarter of a tank. While stopped at a light I happen to notice the ****ing scale on the gauge changed from 1... 1/2...1/4 to 1/4...1/8...0

The ****ing tiny letters next to the guage changed!!! I had like 4 oz of gas. I cursed the designers of that instrument cluster for years. I hope they all lost their jobs and are broke and homeless.

Worst instrument design, ever!

Agree - looks better than the current Panameras.

But, too, I really dislike it.

The car was on display at the Paris Auto show on the Porsche booth. Got to take a close look and the car looks great in person, a lot of presence and the proportions are spot on. It was funny because 20 feet away you had the back of a Panamera and from that angle man the Panamera is ugly.

I love the concept also - but would prefer the GTS or Turbo S version for my DD needs!

At least there's no cringing when you stare at this one.
