Default 7000 rpm

it happens quite often that when i floor the gas on the upward slope (say in sport mode), the car will go from 0 to 7000 rpm and then the engine will have kind of painful sound... then i release the gas immediately

i wonder why the car goes all the way up to 7000 rpm rather than changing the gear itself... is that normal???

Does it also do it in auto mode?

I've noticed the same thing, but ONLY on the first series of upward shifts in any of the AUTO modes after switching from Manual to Auto shifting with the car in motion.

Same thing on my CS. I think it's a programing issue. Sometimes it just wants to over rev (and it sounds like the valves are floating at that point). I also feel that the paddles don't relay the shift request in a timely way. I'm trying to use the shifter in manual mode more often as it *feels* like the shift signal is activated faster than the paddles. Note: I'm always in sport mode.
