The bonus is that if my May build is pushed back to the Fall of this year and I don't want to wait, I lose my 5k deposit!

UPDATE:

Regarding this "letter"...It has yet to reach my inbox...I have enquired about it twice...My salesman started to back pedal a little when pressed...I think that he may suspect that It would end up in the wrong hands (YouTube, Rennlist)...He's trying to put me in a 2010.

My situation is a little unique in that they are providing me with a loaner car until my 2011 Turbo arrives...I have been in the loaner since I placed my order in late March and traded my other daily driver...I suspect that they are tired of paying for the rental and can't get a answer from Porsche regarding when the May builds will be produced/delivered.

Does anybody know how long it takes to build a Panamera (days)???

It is quicker than 997s, I was told it take a little over a week.

One thing that sent up a red flag to me is that they had a April Panamera in "plan production" it should of had a Vin# and on a ship by now! This was yesterday! That is concerning. You let him know that the Regional rep in my area said he has heard nothing of the sort!

In the meantime, I have my sales manager at his wits end trying to find me a car high and low......plus the rant I went on when he said they will keep my deposit because it is a Porsche problem, not theirs(dealership).

As usual.....the Porsche buying experience of today is going down the same path of that 2006 experience!

I can't imagine that they are closing the factory as they were suppose to roll out V6 Panas in June?!?!

I hope they are not running you around trying to get you out of the Toyota, was it?!?!?

I am glad you guys are on their tails! I would be calling, e-mailing, texting and camping out at the dealer until I got an answer! I hope this gets resolved soon. so, they must be building the V6's now. Are they 2011's?

Let me know when you get a copy of this letter. I am thinking of tracking down a 2010 if this is true. Sounds now like you might be being played a little due to them wanting you in a Pana sooner than later!

Please keep us if not me updated regarding this "Smoking Gun"!

Just wanted to bring it to your attention the way "Threads" work since it looks like you are a newbie. No worries! Love pics of cars, especially Panameras since there seems to not be enough of them. Someone started a thread regarding Panamera owners not having cameras!!!

Here is a question that you haven't specified in your posts regarding May builds. 2010 or 2011??? 2010 right?!

Been a member on and off since late 90's. Went ahead and signed-up as a full member couple of months ago. Been a while since i last commented in forums. If that makes me a "newbie", maybe i can get a break on the age thing too...

Went back and re-read thread. Initially it didnt mention 2011 vs 2010, but now i see you are focused on 2011. Why wait so long? If thats the first car they can get you, then you need a new salesman!

So, I guess I am correct in assuming yours is a 2010!

If you have been around since the 90s you certainly should have known better, but then maybe not?!?! Since you comment on my posts as "car-tantrum". Real nice, somebody that is getting "Dicked" around again by a different dealership than the one I used in 06. If anything it is a "Rant"!

FYI: The dealership told me it would be a 2011 May build delivered late June. I would go find a new salesman or should I say sales manager if they would give me my deposit back, but they won't because they said it is Porsche's problem not theirs!

So anymore useful suggestions or comments that could calm my "Tantrum"?!?

I would run, not walk, from any dealership that would not gladly refund your deposit, no matter what the circumstance is.

I know. Unfortunately, I assumed that they would if it came down to a problem as I now face. Little late now, if I do then I lose 5k.

I guess I will have to be the bigger man and work this out. Good thing is is that I am getting a decent discount. Bad thing: there is no car

They have gone "radio silent" on me...The last conversation I had and I quote the Sales Manager: "Porsche has become really unpredictable the last 4 months with delivery dates"...I'm prepared to wait it out at this point...Come June 1 if it's not in production then I will show my azz!!! BUT THEY ARE NOT GETTING ME OUT OF THAT RENTAL UNTIL I GET MY $150K+ AUTO!!!

Well over the last couple of days I went to work. Like I always do when trying to buy a Porsche. Too much work.

Do you have an order reference number? If you do PM it to me. I have news, from the horse's mouth......
