Porsche is doing the Panamera training outside of Phoenix this week.
I didn't get to go
Couple other guys from our dealership did though and got back last night. When I asked how it was......
"I think it's going to take away 911 sales, it's that good."

I was in Chandler, AZ for the training from Sunday - Tuesday. I completely agree. I drove it on the track with an M5, S63 AMG, Maserati Quattroporte, S6, CLS 55, etc. It is truly an amazing vehicle and is in a different league than any of the competitors. The S, 4S, and Turbo are all awesome on the corners, but the Turbo absolutely dusted all others in the straightaways.

And the QP drove like %$@&!
Got home last night from the event and was quite impressed with the car. You quickly forget how big it is on the track, and it felt very familiar behind the wheel--like part of the family. This is a very good thing.
That said, I found the S63 to have less body roll and less nosedive than anything else in the group. Had a problem leaving enough room for the acceleration and was over-running the Carrera S pace car when driving the Turbo.

I was also very disappointed in the QP. The S63, and the 750li were fairly impressive, but on that test track, the Panamera variants were much, much better than the rest. The 2 hour street drive was nice, the car is very smooth and deceptively fast in that regard. The PDK was smoother than on the sports cars.
There are buttons everywhere, but there is a clearly defined button for everything you want the car to do. Once you get a feel for how they are laid out, they are very easy to use. The TFT display was much easier to read than having information underneath the tach, as on our other cars.
Overall, in its class, this car is great, as long as you only need to seat 4. I was very impressed.
Spent a bit of time with both BSL and Stoppie(who sends his regards), missed trader by a night. Next time..

In one group, the Carrera S was the lead, and in the other, a panamera 4s was. In both groups, the Panamera Turbo was behind the lead, and in both cases, the Panamera Turbo could not go all out on the straight.

Every time someone in my group tried to, he would come over the radio and remind us 2 car lengths, easy with the Turbo, etc... I wonder if you had a different driver in the lead car?

I was shooting the chit with the guys early and discussing some of the tracks we've all had time at. He cut me some slack.
