Default HOmelink Programming?

I just got a 2011 Panamera Turbo. Love it so far.

Trying to program the Homelink via the book directions. Nothing I do seems to have the car learn the remote. I sit in front of it wit hthe button pressed until the 5 minute time out. I have tried different locations. I have tried multiple pushes. Nothing works.

Any tricks I need to know about?

Thanks
!

Edit: Now it works. I;ve been trying for two hours. Tried one last time and it worked. I did nothing different. I hope it never loses that programming.

Be glad you don't have a 2018 Panamera. The directions in the owner's manual do not work. In order to program the Homelink you have to take a fuse from under the front passenger seat do the programming and then put the fuse back in. It's a fuse that is shared with another function but I forget which one it is. A mechanic from a Porsche dealership in Florida told me exactly how to do this
