Default Replacement key

My Entry & Drive key has issues with the battery making and keeping a good connection with the metal contacts. Can I just buy a key off of eBay and have the dealer code it to the car?

Can an indy shop do the coding?

I'm pretty sure you have to go to the dealer to have another one coded. The dealer won't code an ebay key.
Theres people on FB market place that offer the coding service, but then again you have to worry about what they're actually doing...

A local mobile locksmith in my area was able to pull the module unsolder connections and reprogram it for two new keyfobs he provided. There were no porsche logos on them but you can glue the old fob logo on them You have to call around and ask. Both were like 700 bux but it was done in 2 hours after I hung up the phone.

Doesn’t have to be dealer . Admittedly I’m over in the UK , but had one done at home from a mobile guy . You just need to find one !

The guy supplied it . If you want to find out more , he’s on Facebook , won’t let me copy and paste here for some reason. Search for pixels fixed, Glasgow. He’s a good guy, could always ask if he has a US contact.
