I have too many cars and am looking to downsize and pickup a turbo S ehybrid to “do it all.” I am ideally looking for 971.2 turbo S ehybrid ST — frustratingly rare.

I like all the tech goodies even if they don’t work that well. I am wondering when ALKA became an option over regular LKA.

Is it true if a car has ACC and innodrive it also has LKA? If so, can this be upgraded to ALKA?

 

According to a thread in the Cayenne forum, ALK was part of InnoDrive for the 2019 Cayenne which likely means that it was the same for the Panamera: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...ist-lka-2.html

InnoDrive includes ACC and LKA but may not have originally when InnoDrive was introduced in around 2017. The only times I notice LKA intervening in my 2022 Cayenne is when I near/cross a lane lane without signaling. I use ALK a lot.

Finding a highly equipped Panamera Sport Turismo of any drivetrain type is like looking for a unicorn. I was going to order a very highly optioned base Panamera ST in 2022 but decided not to when I got an allocation due to some Panamera arriving from the factory without all ordered options. IIRC, production of the Panamera was suspended for a while in 2022 because of parts shortages caused by Russia's attack on Ukraine. I instead bought an in-stock Cayenne to be certain of getting most of the features I wanted including InnoDrive.

I gave up sometime in 2024 trying to find "my perfect" used low mileage 2022 or 2023 Panamera ST with InnoDrive, Night View Assist and all the other features I wanted. The only one I found that came close was a Turbo S but I don't remember if it was an eHybrid. There just weren't that many Sport Turismo sold in the U.S.

There was a thread a few months ago in which people expressed frustration trying to find an acceptable Panamera ST. I remember commenting in that thread.

My only must haves are burmester and innodrive so I see them come up enough. I’m trying to understand if I need to prioritize the .2 if that means active LKA which according to the YouTube seems much better.
