Default Panamera forum section

Had the Cayenne previously and have been on Rennlist for years. The Cayenne section is nicely subdivided by generation/year. There are lots of DIY sticky posts and I always enjoyed digging through those discussions. Especially since going into the specific generation section has posts related to that generation only.

Now looking at getting into a Panamera and seems like this side of the border of Rennlist needs some upkeep.

For instance, the 971 Panamera ashtray failure is super common and there's a post here on how to fix it. Granted it's a backyard fix, it's still an option as opposed to replacing the whole ashtray. Why wouldn't it be added to DIY? Also, the spoiler stuck post.

Does anyone else feel this section could use some love?
Is this something that can easily be done, mods?

This has been brought up over the years but nothing ever happens. It kills me when I click on a thread wanting to learn or help only to see its a 970 and I have a 971. Honestly, I dont think there are as many Pannys out there as the SUVs. At the least it would be cool if there was a drop-down menu, or a requirement to put the chassis code in the threat title.

Le's lump all of the 911s into a SINGLE forum - from 1964 to 2025!

930, 964, 993, 996, 997, 991, 992 - put 'em all together and let the readers sort out the posts trying to find a relevant discussion!!!

c'mon rennlist mods...

100% agree.
Ive also been resident on the Cayenne 958 section for the last 5 years and the way its structured is massively helpful, especially the DIY section.
It would be awesome to mirror the Cayenne template here .....and its clearly do-able.

Glad I struck the right cord here. I was wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way.

It is true that there are less Panameras than Cayennes. I've been on a hunt to buy a Panamera 4S and after doing a bunch of research I noticed that the ratio of cayenne to Panamera is five to one. These numbers though should not discount the need for form separation at least that's my opinion.

Maybe vote me for mod. 😁

Guys, quick update... we now have Prefixes within the Panamera forum. Should help identify threads that are related to 970 or 971. I think even if not fully separated, this makes a huge (IMO) difference if you're just wanting to browse specific generation threads.

I'll take any suggestions you guys may have. Specifically related to the Panamera section. One thing I was thinking is to get the DYI section populated. I bet there would be less repetitiveness ("how to change oil?" "use the search")

The color codes are a GREAT improvement!
970

971

976
I can't tell you how many times I've clicked on a thread, hoping to obtain 971 information, and find it's another 970 discussion.

Separate fora would be even better, though.

And, a DIY section (as a sticky) is a positive move forward. Take a look at macanforum.com to see what's been done over there. It seems to be working well over there!
There are a few Macan forum members who are incredible DIY contributors!
