Default 971 Carpet Caps

Car is 2017 4S. Just hot 40k miles, car has been flawless except for this nagging little issue.

Has anyone replaced the front Carpet Caps in their 971? Mine broke off on passenger side, so now carpet is not anchored. This is the two male posts that come up through carpet, and the front matts just "click in". It really is a nuisance for passengers as they push off carpets to exit vehicle.

I have struggled with this for some time. Asked dealer to do it twice when in for regular service, and got ignored twice (another topic for another day).

I googled the heck out of this, ordered some parts from Suncoast Porsche that seemed as close as I could get. These are for Cayenne and they just don't quite fit - the inside diameter is just a tick too small to connect to the posts in floor (or I don't know how to clip them on correctly).

I ordered part 955 551 229 00 01C. Does anyone have the part number for Panamera 971 equivalent? Or know best way to get this information?

This has lingered on for 2+ years. Which is crazy - but dealer is 60 miles away so not like I can walk up to parts counter super easy.

This are for Cayenne.

I use the all weather rubber mats right on top of the carpet ones and they don’t move at all and are not anchored.

Thanks Wilassin - I have the weathertechs in a Ram truck and I really do like them there. For this car, would prefer to have the carpets. Actually plan to get new Porsche matts if I can resolve this what should be simple issue. It is so frustrating - the inside diameter of the parts I have on hand is like 1 mm (or less) too small to "clip" onto the floor posts. Someone has to have seen this before.......Parts I have say 2007+ Cayenne - look really similar to ones I need - they click into the front Matt perfectly - just not onto the floor post below carpet.

May have found an answer here with a Volkswagon part. I found the broken part and was able to magnify and pull some part numbers off. It matches with a VW part number.

Volkswagen 8E0-864-229-9B9 and 8E0-864-227

So have these on the way. Will update after installation attempt.

I believe the fastening plug is 9A7 007 013 00, and the stopper is 9A7 006 988 00.

I searched on these part numbers and not coming up with the Carpet caps. I get a Body A Pillar grommet and associated screw in my search. Where are you seeing these as Carpet caps? maybe I'm missing a parts source to try searching. Thanks for help, it is appreciated.

My VW parts arrived - and seem to have same issue as my Porsche Cayenne Caps - just a little small ID. This set did come with both male (below carpet) and female (above carpet) connectors. I "clicked" one pair together - it does take quite a bit of force to get them to mate.

I tried heating the female plugs to see if softening would help them "pop" onto posts - to no avail.

I really thought I could solve this by ordering the right parts. Perhaps the answer is to go to Porsche and try and get some attention on this small issue. "Karen would like to speak to the manager" I guess......the whole thing borders on crazy - it's such a simple matter. But yet, unresolved....

Maybe try another dealer? A decent parts counter should be able to find this no problem. The PET diagrams they have are way more inclusive than the blow aparts on all the parts websites.

I was using PET Panamera G2 2017-2021 but it looks like I found seat well carpet fasteners rather than the floormat fasteners and the PET picture doesn't show the floormat anchors. I can't find a floormat reference in PET beyond the "optional equipment" order code, and it's generic.
