I have a 2013 Panamera Base with 96K miles that I have been dealing with the standard front-end noises. I have replaced the control arms, etc. and all that is good. I wanted to start looking into Polyurethane bushings as I know this issue will come up again during my ownership.
My first question is for those that installed poly bushings on this car...how do you like it? I know there's no grease fitting, so I'm curious if they squeak after awhile. I have a set on my 2006 Lexus SC430 and they don't make a peep so my expectation is that these will be quiet as well. I do have the air suspension, so I'm not overly concerned about making the ride more harsh, I'm just trying to extend the useful life of these control arms.
Second question is where to purchase from. I've seen a lot of people recommending Siberian Bushing, but for the control arm bushings both front and rear, the back log is rather large. Almost like they aren't making them any longer. I did see that mTuning in Poland (where people recommend going to get the steering rack bushings) also has the control arms bushings. Has anyone ordered from here for the control arm bushings? Are they the same basic thing? This is where I'm thinking about ordering from...I like the idea of all in one place and they have "kits" not individual parts although not sure if I need to order two (2) of them to do each side. That could add up real fast! https://mtuning.pl/eng_m_Suspension_...ra-486374.html
Last question is in regards to the steering rack bushings. On the Siberian Bushing website, we are ordering the Cayenne control arm bushings, which got me thinking...would the Cayenne steering rack bushings work? If so, would these from Fig Engineering work for those of us in the US? They are cheaper...not sure that really matter if ordering everything from mTuning... https://shopfigs.com/v5/BEARINGS-BUS...HINGS-SPF4463K
Brian,
I have the M tuning bushings front/rear and love them - no issues whatsoever. As noted, the upper control arms require one kit per side - total of 4 bushings. And the lower arms need one kit per side - total of 6 bushings. I know you have a 2013, but for those reading, the front lower control arm bushings are different for a 14-16 - and I went through a long process of resolving (and at great expense), but have all the poly bushing for the LCA and will do that in the spring.
As for the rears, that's a whole other game... there are 3 uppers/1 lower per side. It gets expensive very, very fast. I have another set of complete rear bushings and spare pieces for another full install and will list in the sales area.
That said, the car is very firm, but not harsh and I really love the tight feeling as it was 'vague' before I started... so, very happy. Also, I would say the car is actually quieter now, which is counter-intuitive, but true.

The site says these bushings are for 2009-2016, but sounds like they didn't work for you cause you have a 14-16. Are these correct for a 2013 (970.1)?
How long have you had the poly bushings installed? Still no squeaks? I follow what you were saying on what to order for the fronts and the steer rack bushings seems simple enough. I'm lost on the rears...you had mentioned there were 3 uppers and 1 lower per side. The kits for the rear are 12pcs for the uppers and 4pcs for the lower. Is this what I would need to order for a complete redo or do I need two of each rear kit as well?
Brian,
The bushings are all the same, EXCEPT for the front lower control arms. The 10-13 lower arms have smaller/narrower bushings than the 14-16 arms... I spent three months working w/Mtuning on this and had to make my own 'work around'.
That said, the bushings they do sell for the lower control arms will fit your 13 model year nicely. Also, the rack bushings are the same, as are all the rears. And yes, I installed new OEM sway bar mount bushings and end links. I had a bad experience with some 'Moog' links with poly, but have to revert back to original because the poly was deforming.
To date and after 6 months, no squeaking or other noises.. also, car rides better and more crisp.
As for the rear bushings, I am currently awaiting two complete (uppers and lowers) sets myself and they are on back order.
The kits you noted above will complete all the the uppers and lowers - there are a total of 12 upper bushings and a total of 4 lower bushings. Also, do note shipping is very expensive, costing about $100 per shipment...

Here you can see the 6 rear upper control arms - 3 per side. Each arm has two bushings...
Also, the 2 rear lower control arms - 1 per side. Each arm has two bushings.
12 upper bushings - 3 arms per side rear lower - 1 arm per side 4 lower bushings - 1 arm per side
Hi i'm interesting by polyurethane on my 970 2012. If i buy this (THIS)(front lower control arm) it's ok for me ?
It's easy to install ?
Huskeric what do you use for cleaning your control arm ?
Thanks.

Marc,
As noted in the above threads, I ran into an issue using these in my 970.2, but they do appear correct for the 970.1 and you will need two sets. I didn't have any issues with installing the other bushings (front uppers/rears) and was completed using a normal press. As for cleaning, I used Aluminum Brightener, which appears to be phosphoric and sulfuric acid - worked great with agitation from a drill and attachments. Face and hand gear are necessary.

These silent blocks are not too strong on the road ?
The Aluminum Brightener sell only in US or shipping is expensive.
I've found and buying this :
I will try

I found using this solution in an ultrasonic tank will quickly turn the aluminum parts very shiny and clean. I purchased a 22l tank a few months back and is my newest best friend
