Trying to get Porsche suspension back to normal. FL and FR shows 0mm. RL and RR shows 360mm. When I go to change it to 400+- 10mm it shows, 29000: Negative control unit response: [31] Parameter outside of value range (7f 2e 31). Car sits at recommend height for comfort.
I, too, had nightmares when trying to do something as 'simple' as adjusting the ridge height... problem is, the system is not intuitive and the data to be entered is usually a combination of adding/subtracting to get around 406mm...
When I had this problem, mine was also out of range and had to enter various figures before one would take... You may have to try in the 360 range, or as high as the 450 range. In the end and after about 6 hours (yes, I realize my experiences were different), I finally 'fooled' the system and was able to get the ride height sorted... In essence, if you want to make the distance between the fender and middle of center cap smaller (meaning, lower the car), the data to be entered actually has to be a larger value. I found the user "CIAKA" had some good write ups on this... I also kept very good notes on the values entered for each corner coupled with the 'actual' measurements. I would get very close to getting all 4 corners resolved, then very slightly change one datapoint, and all the heights would go kattywampus... and then trying to return to the previous value only made things worse... so, this was quite frustrating as the system is not resolved in a logical manner - or one that is logical to me.
Again, sorry to those that are shaking their heads, but this system does not work the way one thinks or per the directions in the service manual. For if it was as easy as entering the value of ~406mm on each corner, it would take all of five minutes... sadly, this process did not work for me. That said, I am far from a PIWIS expert and always looking for the 'magic' solution of how to adjust this system.
All that said, please do keep up posted as you may arrive at a user friendly solution that evaded me.

There is two steps for adjustment.
One you take measure and you put these values in the piwis et you confirm. It's the first initailize step.
You need to register 4 wheels set.
After you take measure and you add value (to lower) or subtraction (to increase) to obtain new wanted value and you confirm.
Example : your value is 408mm first you save this value in piwis and confirm. If you want 406mm you mesure new value and you add difference between new value and 406mm and you confirm.
